Nikwax Tech Wash & TX Direct 300ml Twin Pack Cleaning Waterproof Outdoor Wear
Tech Wash is a wash-in cleaner for waterproof clothing and equipment. It safely revitalises breathability and water-repellency.
Tech Wash is a non-detergent soap which can be used regularly to clean clothing and equipment without damaging the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coatings.
Regular cleaning and reproofing with Tech Wash and TX.Direct improves performance allowing your gear to work better for longer.
Use Tech Wash instead of detergents or washing powder which leave behind water-attracting residues.
It adds water-repellency and revives breathability to fabrics without wicking liners.
Both products are very easy to use in the washing machine or by hand.
TX.Direct is a wash-in waterproofing for wet weather clothing.
It doesn't require heat activation to work so saving energy.

How to Use:

Clean the item first: Ensure the garment or equipment is clean using Nikwax Tech Wash or similar products.
Shake the bottle well: Before applying, shake the spray bottle to ensure the waterproofing solution is well-mixed.
Spray evenly: Hold the bottle approximately 15 cm (6 inches) from the fabric and spray evenly over the outer surface.
Wipe off excess: Use a damp cloth to remove any excess solution to ensure an even coating.
Air dry or tumble dry: No heat activation is required, but air drying is sufficient.

Where to Use:

Ideal for wet weather clothing such as jackets, trousers, and outdoor gear.
Can also be used on backpacks, tents, and other waterproof outdoor equipment.
Suitable for fabrics that have lost their water-repellency and breathability over time.

When to Apply:

Apply when you notice your gear’s water-repellency has faded, such as when it soaks up water rather than causing it to bead on the surface.
Reapply after several washes or if you frequently expose your clothing to harsh weather conditions.

Cautions:

Test on a small area before full application to ensure compatibility with the material.
Do not apply on non-waterproof linings, as it could cause them to lose their moisture-wicking properties.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin; rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs.
