This protects against rain and condensation preventing the item from wetting out and maintaining the natural insulating properties of down.
Additionally it revives breathability allowing moisture vapor to pass through the item optimizing performance in cold and damp conditions.

Application in a washing machine is quick easy and ensures that the whole item is thoroughly cleaned.
How to use:

Preparation: Shake the bottle well before use.

Washing machine:
- Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent drawer.
- Place your down-filled items in the washing machine (max load: 1 item).
- Use a delicate or synthetic cycle.
- Pour the required amount of Nikwax Down Wash Direct into the detergent drawer (1 full cap for a medium-sized load).

Hand wash:
- Use lukewarm water in a basin.
- Add one full cap of the wash.
- Submerge the item, agitate gently, then rinse thoroughly.

Drying: Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. To help maintain loft, place clean tennis balls or dryer balls in the dryer with the item.

- Use on down-filled jackets, sleeping bags, and other down gear, whether it’s hydrophobic or regular down.

- When your down gear has lost its water repellency or is dirty with sweat, oils, or dirt.
