The Kidde 2030-DCR is a battery operated carbon monoxide alarm with a 10 year sensor life. Suitable for wall mounting or free standing installation, this CO alarm can be installed anywhere in your home. Three colour-coded LED indicators clearly display the current status of the Kidde 2030-DCR carbon monoxide alarm; green for normal operation, amber for a fault, and red for alarm.

How to Use:

Installation:
- Choose a suitable location following the guidance in the "Where to Use" section below.
- For wall mounting, use the fixings provided in the package. Ensure the device is securely fastened.
- Alternatively, place the device on a stable, flat surface for free-standing use.

Activation:
- Insert the supplied 2 x AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring the correct polarity.
- The green LED will light up, indicating the alarm is operational.

Testing:
- Press and hold the Test/Reset button weekly to ensure the alarm is functioning properly.
- The unit will emit a loud 85dB alarm sound during the test.

- Regularly check the LED indicators:
- Green: Normal operation.
- Amber: Fault detected (consult the user manual for troubleshooting).
- Red: Alarm triggered (evacuate immediately and investigate the source of carbon monoxide).

- Avoid installing in areas prone to high humidity (e.g., bathrooms) or near vents, fans, or open windows, which may interfere with detection.
- Do not install directly above a sink or stove to prevent damage from splashes or grease.
